"What It Took"

Bubbles ascending against aquatic laden barley's stubborness
To rise toward film layered salvation
As if victorious over depths of rememberence

A bar stool melody escorted by drink sobered me
Tis not possible to be sobered by things
So opposed to it's very mission?

What it took were these two things
So pleasant, simple and true
To conjure up a future love-yet I have not met

Where I can say it's the smallest
of things that remind me of the treasure
I have in you

Bubbles effervescing against aquatic laden barley's noncompliance
To always rise toward film
layered salvation-finally to breath

Tis a drink never to be finished
Poured refreshing eternal-a song never to be played out
Will be our love for each other-for it's in the simplest of messages

That preordained it beyond doubt!
